Fr. Felipe’s Farewell Mass and Dinner
Fr. Felipe’s farewell will be on June 11 at 6pm at St. Adalbert. We will begin with a bilingual Mass in the church, where we will also commemorate the consecration of the United States to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and thank our volunteers. Afterward there will be a dinner in the school and an opportunity to say farewell to Fr. Felipe.

Just a quick message of gratitude to all of you for your support of the parish. You might remember that last summer we did something new called "the little markets" (los mercaditos). At the markets, parishioners, businesses, and community members can rent a space in the Olive Street parking lot at St. Adalbert, and the rent goes to the parish. Then, they keep the money from whatever they sell. It is a way to support the community.
The money that came into the parish helped us make many improvements to the parish office, particularly: new flooring on the first and second floors, and new chairs, lights, paint, fans, and air conditioning in the meeting room. Thank you for supporting the markets and for your support of the parish —you are making a big difference! If you are interested in selling at the markets this summer (we start on June 20-21), please contact Alejandra Vázquez, 574-485-9118.

Registration is now open at St. Adalbert School for the 2026-2027 school year. We have spaces available in our Pre-K and grades 1-8. We invite all of you who have children to consider our school. Or if you know of people looking for a school, please tell them about St. Adalbert. It is a place where faith is first. The day is filled with prayer and learning about the faith. We also have a strong focus on academic excellence and are blessed with very talented teachers who are very dedicated to making our students successful. What is very special about our school is that it is like a family. Teachers and students as well as parents work together to create a very special atmosphere in the school where everyone who walks through the doors is greeted with love. Every student qualifies for a scholarship that covers most of the tuition, so don't let fear of the cost stop you! For more information, please call the school, 574-288-6645
We welcome Benny Ortega, a Notre Dame student who will be working in the parish during the summer. His work includes: seeking funds and grants for the Restoration Project and creating a project to make the St. Adalbert neighborhood cleaner and more attractive. He will be with us until July 24th. Welcome, Benny!
Junbuggies restaurant will be hosting a Mexican food sale next Sunday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm in the Olive Street parking lot at St. Adalbert. All proceeds will be donated to Cinco de Mayo. Thank you to Junbuggies for their friendship and generosity!
Because the pews in front of the altar of the Blessed Virgin are closed off, the donation box for the candles cannot be reached. We have placed a temporary box on the table next to the side door, in front of the altar of the Blessed Virgin, for your candle donations. Thank you for your generosity to buy candles and for your understanding!
